The National Anti-Doping Committee (NADC) Nigeria successfully deployed a full anti-doping programme at the 3rd National Para-Games, held at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, from 27 March to 3 April 2026.
The programme covered both doping control (sample collection) and athlete education, reaffirming NADC Nigeria's commitment to clean and fair sport for para-athletes across the country. Testing was conducted in-competition across several sporting disciplines in full compliance with the World Anti-Doping Code 2021 and the International Standard for Testing and Investigations (ISTI).
DOPING CONTROL
Doping Control Officers (DCOs) were deployed throughout the Games period to collect urine and/or blood samples from athletes selected based on a risk-informed Test Distribution Plan. All samples were dispatched to a WADA-accredited laboratory for analysis in accordance with applicable international standards.
